246 West End Ave. project entailed combining of existing apartments into one with 4,000 sq.ft. of living area. Client’s goal was to create modern look of the entire space with 12 feet high ceilings and custom gypsum crown molding. Owner’s desired replacing of existing windows with new custom sound proof glass to meet landmarks requirements. Modern renovation included installation of 4 independent HVAC thru wall units to cool entire space, rebuilding two working fireplaces and covering with stone including new mantles and hearts. Both new kitchens have new custom made bamboo and painted cabinets with stone counter tops and Sub Zero and Miele appliances. All five new bathrooms were updated with new custom made showers and Duravit bath tub as well as Dorn Bracht plumbing fixtures. Custom lighting and new upgraded electrical were installed throughout the apartment. Video and sound system installed at the apartment gives touch of luxury.
